Then they started pouring gallons of milk down the floor drains, and locking dumpsters - my husband cuts meat, he always keeps an eye out for the mark downs - that's what we eat at home - when I'm eating meat and not on the vegan thing.

I have a Shirley Temple doll buggy I found in a trash pile - I should get on ebay or somewhere and find out what that's worth!Gardeniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06233358355888022857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-49418903097936776532007-01-14T13:48:00.000-05:002007-01-14T13:48:00.000-05:00Dilling - Maybe..

I love my extra capacity washing machine, and I am cheap, so, it was the perfect deal for me! As for wearing my pants inside out, they were uniform pants, so, it was a little obvious. I could have died, I was so embarrassed. Truth is, I was so sick that day, that I'm surprised that I even made it out the door at all.Biddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07745873261311850810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-45254500726449603832007-01-14T12:41:00.000-05:002007-01-14T12:41:00.000-05:00I think Shauna there has it all figured out.I think Shauna there has it all figured out.Heidi the Hickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639479864903922047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-62769505793967047932007-01-14T10:02:00.000-05:002007-01-14T10:02:00.000-05:00What's wrong with picking up a washer that someone...What's wrong with picking up a washer that someone couldn't deal with a button missing? He was a very good father, he raised 2 kids on his own in the 70's. I think that it was just a different time then, and the singles really were swinging. Like I said, I never knew that they were dating at the time, and my dad never brought ANY of his dates home to meet us. he was s great dad, and I wouldn't want anyone to think any less of him.
Thanks for stopping by, come again anytime! :)Biddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07745873261311850810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-5150046908986771592007-01-13T17:16:00.000-05:002007-01-13T17:16:00.000-05:00#2 is some pretty bad fathering.#2 is some pretty bad fathering.Frank Marcopoloshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14434560672740630201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-38632085602065527482007-01-13T11:53:00.000-05:002007-01-13T11:53:00.000-05:00Gardenia - I haven't actually gone to the dump in ...Gardenia - I haven't actually gone to the dump in years, but I do like checking out what's happening on garbage night.
I have an aunt in Nova Scotia, and she tells me that her town dump is the place to go. She actually found enough brand new flooring to redo her whole kitchen. Our society has been become too disposable.
I saw a blurb on TV about a guy that goes dumpster diving at the supermarket. he got fruit, veggies, and meat, still shrink wrapped. I don't know if I'm ready for THAT, but it did pique my interest. (He's not homeless, he has a mortgage, and can afford to pay it by eating this way).Biddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07745873261311850810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-6781954110468242172007-01-13T11:25:00.000-05:002007-01-13T11:25:00.000-05:00Don't feel bad - my stressed out thing is wearing ...Don't feel bad - my stressed out thing is wearing two different shoes. Just act nonchalant - I liked that - "out of the box."

The less classy people here in this town were garbage pickers too - as I grew up I thought that's what everyone did - it was a family out to go to the dump and scrounge. Looking back, I think more people should do this type of recycling. Every little bit helps the environment. Also I would love to thumb my nose at the economy trap that keeps us buying, buying, buying!Gardeniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06233358355888022857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-23083019720453204922007-01-13T11:23:00.000-05:002007-01-13T11:23:00.000-05:00her indoors - Could you see me pushing a washing m...her indoors - Could you see me pushing a washing machine to your house on a skateboard? It might be a tad too far away.

Camie - That is an impressive list! We got an antique dresser from the garbage, too, and Hubby has been promising to refinish it for about 3 years now. As soon as we get some extra $$, I plan I buying a new sofa, too. Ours are SO lumpy, and worn out that when we put them on the curb, NOBODY will pick them up. These are the things in our house that he has collected.

Two lamps, an oak dining table, a oak bench seat that goes around the dining table...the seats even lift up and you can store stuff in it. A oak file cabinet, carpet (which was new), our side tables near the couch, and the table that we put our mail on, oh, and this two seater couch that I really hate. No one sits on it except for the cat. I plan on buying a new couch or chair to replace it once we get caught up on some bills.Camie Voghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00346355411397902963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-91663625526315600702007-01-13T07:49:00.000-05:002007-01-13T07:49:00.000-05:00can you find me a washer, seeing as i went to buy ...can you find me a washer, seeing as i went to buy one in the sales and spent the money on a holiday!katyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12771905454120068595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-83880342485858184412007-01-13T00:25:00.000-05:002007-01-13T00:25:00.000-05:00Steve - It's true, she really could.
