For whatever reason, it didn't show up that you had posted and I had missed all of June!! I'm still here. So sorry for the glitch.

I say do what you doctor says. They went to med school for a reason. Don't try to figure it out on your own. The docs know what's best. If the sleepiness doesn't let up, give the doc a call, otherwise sleep away!!Chelliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16314728501177290013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-12867398601274836572008-06-07T14:40:00.000-04:002008-06-07T14:40:00.000-04:00So, here's the deal....I will get used to the amou...So, here's the deal....I will get used to the amount, after a few days. I always do. It just takes a few days (10 ish) to even out. I have been on 'quil before and I have taken 100 miligrams...But, I have only been taking about 50 up until recently.
I do not to sleep my life away, either. It sucks, and I feel guilty. It had been suggested to me to admit myself to the hospital for the duration, but I refuse to do that. I would be so depressed and I would bottom out. I would never make it out of there and I would miss Kc's and Jessica's grad. That is not an option.
I will try the fish oil. I have been taking more vitamins, too. Just trying to get over the hump.
Thanks for your concern, friends :)
And Camie? You would never be trimmed, either :)Biddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07745873261311850810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-15754725455266510092008-06-07T14:25:00.000-04:002008-06-07T14:25:00.000-04:00It sounds to me like you are taking a little too m...It sounds to me like you are taking a little too much Biddie.

If you can cut back a bit - or even if you can't - here's something for you to try.

Add fish oil. It comes in capsules and doesn't leave a taste. You can't take too much but it is very effective for bi-polar as well.
I have a doctor friend who is depressed etc. and he looked into this and now takes a ton of fishoil. It is the only thing he takes and he is much much better.

On my bad days I increase the amount of fish oil I usually take. It's worth a try.

Also - Vitamin B Complex is great for the brain. Take it at night before bed.

You won't be so drowsy the next day. I don't believe in sleeping all day because of meds. There is more to life than that and doctors have to realise it.aimshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12685252628734838159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-40406856740819276842008-06-07T12:05:00.000-04:002008-06-07T12:05:00.000-04:00I am just glad you have your meds. The new system should be here on Monday, then I'll be flying about the blogosphere.

As for trimming fat o'friends...You would never be on that list. Ever. I find it strange your doc isn't trying different meds rather than jacking the dose like that!Phoenix5https://www.blogger.com/profile/06717890637366842487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-64785643867046561532008-06-06T17:46:00.000-04:002008-06-06T17:46:00.000-04:00Hope the rough part is over soon - the Lyrica was ...Hope the rough part is over soon - the Lyrica was doing a number on me too - sleepy, staggering about, dizzy - but mellow and less pain....

Have been in bed too - getting over the back venture at the hospital - but actually its been nice to lay around....Gardeniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06233358355888022857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-58774772210344757292008-06-06T12:46:00.000-04:002008-06-06T12:46:00.000-04:00Heidi - I only took 1/2 of what I was supposed to ...Heidi - I only took 1/2 of what I was supposed to last night. I just couldn't face another 6 hour day.
I know that I need my meds and I will only get worse without them - plus, 'Quil is great for people that are bi polar and have racing thoughts. In another couple of weeks, I will be fine, but the first lil bit is always rough.
I have to lean on the walls, too. Once, a few months back, I nearly took out half of the Winter (cause Christmas was over) village. We nearly lost the Heidi/Jethro farm. Yikes.
You can bet that we will take lots of photos. She is only allowed to have two people there...how much does that suck? I wish that Jessica's grad was on a Friday, so that you could be there..Nope, it is a week from Wednesday...

Cindydianne - ONE? It usually takes an elephant tranq to get me down. I have a huge drug tolerance, but I am a bit wimp when I get hurt. Not the best combination.
I hope that you sleep better tonight. I HATE not feeling rested.Biddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07745873261311850810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29762189.post-24922067291252699202008-06-06T08:21:00.000-04:002008-06-06T08:21:00.000-04:00Since my surgery I haven't been on any medication ...Since my surgery I haven't been on any medication except my hormone patch and yay for those. If I have to get up during the night I have to hang onto the walls or I'll fall over.

Yay drugs. Not.

Please take lots of pictures at grad. Or give Shawn the camera. That might be better.Heidi the Hickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639479864903922047noreply@blogger.com
