He's Back.

There is so much that I want to blog about - to share with my friends, but I am, once again, on the defensive because my stalker has returned.
I don't know what is so incredibly fascinating about me.
My life is actually pretty boring, same old same old. I suppose that my stalker has no life of his own. Maybe his life is so boring that he needs to create drama.
I just know that even my kids are edge and for their sakes, as well as my own, I can't share some things right now.
I might need to make my blog private - an idea that I have been tossing around for some time now. I have resisted thus far because I have buddies that are blogless, but stop by now and again anyway.
All I know is that if aRsehole Stalker wants info, he'll have to look elsewhere.
Or find a new hobby.

Don't even bother leaving a comment, I will just throw it in the cyber trash.
Seriously. You are sick.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stalk. I stop by all the time but don't say anything. Next time I'll just say Hello when I come by and don't have a comment.

Seriously, he needs a better hobby.

Seriously? A stalker? You should be able to report his/her activity and get his/her freaky ass blocked.

Coffeypot - It is not, and never will be you. In fact, the mere mention of your name strikes fear in the heart( assuming that he has one) of this jerk off.
I am hoping that he will get bored....

Maggie Mae - Not you either, my bloggy pal. Just a sad simpleton stuck in the past.

Kimber - I have many stories to tell. I have letters upon letters sent to me by this freak and he just continues to get more and more strange.
I would love to find a way to block him. Is there a way???

Sorry to read this. Hope things get better on the stalker front...

Stinkypaw - Well, I am doing my best to ignore the aRse, and to do that, I have to keep some of my life private.
He will ge bored, sooner or later.

I am so sorry - this is disturbing. I don't get these people who have nothing more to do than harrass another person who wants nothing to do with them. To bed there is not an internet police. This is totally against the law in "real time." I have a cousin who studied forensic computer science and knows how to shut these people down though.

Gardenia - I wish I knew someone that could do that for me. Believe my when I say that the cyber crap is just half of it. There has been way too much of it for the past 15 + years.
I wonder what motivates some people???

I've only read you a few times, but I am sorry that you have someone bothering you. It is so sad that we can not blog without having crazy people who think that just because we put a few snippits about our life on the computer think they know us and cause problems. I have my blog set that if more than a few days go by and I get a new comment that it has to be approved by me before it can be published..Maybe you can do that
Best of luck

Patty - That's actually a great idea.
It really is too bad that some people are so unhappy with their own lives that they feel the need to meddle.
Maybe one of these days he will enough joy in his own life and can leave mine alone.

Biddie said...

Rick - Uber creepy..I am sure that things will be fine..He just needs a new hobby.

Dilling - Lol. I'm not sure but I'll let you know!

Kimber said...

Yeah, you should be able to contact the folks at Blogspot for help. Go to Help -> Manage Your Account -> Privacy/Security for starters and see if you can set up a block or at least, as the other person suggested, set up a comment delay where you approve all comments before they get added. Let me know how you make out.

Kimber said...

Also, see 'Report Abuse" under terms of service under Help as well.

Biddie said...

Kimber - I will try that. He has gone quiet again, so I am hoping that he has moved on.
Silly me.

Ugh...what is it about the Internet that encourages trolls like this to show themselves? The world would be a happier place if they crawled back under the rocks from where they came.

Although I'm glad to hear he (assuming it's a he...they're almost always male, for some odd reason) has gone dormant, I'd like to make a couple of suggestions to add to Kimber's comments:

1 - Add a stats service (like to your blog. This allows you to track where visitors to your site come from, right down to the IP address.

2 - Set up comment moderation so that you have to approve all comments before they go live on the site. That deters trolls like nobody's business.

In the case of IP tracking, I've been there, and I empathize with you. I used this capability to trace a particularly nasty troll. Turns out he was a senior administrator at a high school, and he was using his work machine to do his dirty work. Needless to say, I had a lovely chat with the head of the school board's IT department, and the moron disappeared for good.
