My Ruby

Holy crap. I was at the mall tonight, and Kayla and Jessica were home with the dogs. Bumble ran out the door when Kayla and her bf were trying to go catch a bus.
Kayla ran after Bumble.
Ruby ran after Kayla.
Bf ran after Ruby.......

At that moment, a car was speeding (and I do mean speeding ) down our quiet street, and

Ruby got hit.

She is ok, but the driver didn't even stop. She came thisclose to hitting Kayla.
I am so freaked out, I still feel like crying.

That little dog must have an angel on her shoulder. I don't know what I would do if something happened to her.

Holy crap indeed, Biddie. Happy to hear (well, read) that both Ruby and Kayla are OK.

Gabriel - I am happy that Kayla is ok, too. I know that I said how relieved I was that Ruby was ok, but she is only 7 pounds...I really thought when Kayla called that my lil dog was dead.
I can't believe that the person driving never even stopped to see if evryone was ok..

She must have been so tiny, she just rolled - but glad all is ok. I hit a dog once at 3 in the morning taking hubby to work - I was devastated, I called the police and they went to work trying to find the owner - it was horrible - I was sitting in the middle of the street praying for it......I never did know how it turned out. It was just there in the dark.....

What a scare.

That is terrifying!

Please, teach Bumble to SIT before he goes out the front door. Dobby used to run out too and it scared the crap out of me. Luckily I always kept a couple of treats at the front door and you know, pug, he'll always come back for treats, but it's so dangerous for a dog to just bolt out the door. The worst part is you can't even discipline him once you catch him because he'll think he's getting spanked for getting caught.

That could have gone horribly horribly wrong. Ruby has an angel?? You all do. Good god.

oh man I'm glad everyone is okay. One of my dogs got hit once and the guy didn't stop, it was down at the horse corrals, I think he got the point when a friend threw a rock through his back window though.

Don't mess with the 4-H ers animals. lol
