For My Little Buddy In Virginia - Baby Bunnies!

Just a quick post today. I am feeling a little better, at least I got dressed today. Trust me, that's big.
We had a new addition to the family last Thursday. Actually, 4 new additions. I thought that we had the bunny situation worked out. You know, the boys in one place and the girls in another. Yeah, well, I was wrong. This is what we found Thursday evening. Four tiny babies. They are still bald, and their eyes haven't opened yet. That'll happen when they hit about 10 days old. They babies are about 3 days old here. The mom doesn't mind if you handle them, and many times we have had to bottle feed new born bunnies. Not this time. Henry, the mommy, is doing a great job.
Anyway, that's about the most exciting thing that has happened around here. Unless you count the huge amount of snow that we got, and the unbelievable temerature of -30. Ruby won't even go out to do her thing. Porky runs on to the porch, and right back in. I haven't been out since grocery shopping, and if I can work out, I won't be leaving the house again until the spring thaw.

I love it that the mommy bunny's name is Henry!!

the date on your camera is wrong but I have no idea how to change it...next time the Boy comes over to visit I'll ask him!

the Pug is going out for his walks but they're shorter, and we have to stop to pick the snow out of his paws every now and then. The good news is, out at the farm, he runs right out to do his business and right back in again-- no goofing off in the manure pile!!! Yay!

They are little things aren’t they? Not enough to make a good mouth full, yet. But they grow fast and are mighty tasty when they are about full grown. Call me in a month or so. We’ll have a barbeque.

Speaking of call, I see you took my Rx and now you feel better. You didn’t call, and I need to talk to you about the bill I left on the coffee table. I might be persuaded to barter the bill, like a couple of rabbits for instance. What say you?

-30 degrees? I can't even deal with the fact that it's 10 degrees here. I do wish it would snow more though.

Heidi - KC thought that Henry was a boy when she was 1st born. The name just stuck. I would love it if the Boy could fix the date on the camera. Oh, and maybe show me how to down load photos, and how the heck do you get music on that MP3?

Fancy - face - Oh yeah, so lucky! Want one? Or 2, or 3, or
4, or.....

coffeypot - I would love to barter! Unfortunately, they are NOT eatin' bunnies, but just pets. Sorry. They are way too small anyway. And about that bill...HOW did you get into my house anyway?!

Corky - I should have said that it was -30 with wind chill. I am actually on my out to shovel right now. Believe me, it's over rated.

How cute!

I'm glad you are feeling better and I think everyone is considering staying inside until April at this point.

If any of my bloggies buddies want a bunny, just let me know! Sure, you'll have to come here to get one, but I think it would be worth it. I'll put on coffee (or tea) and Shawn'll make a pie. Infact, one free pie with every bunny.....Who could pass that up?
And Camie? I think your little guy NEEDS a bunny......

Aw! Baby bunnies...I think everyone who has them winds up with one they thought was the opposite sex.

Glad you are feeling better for the time being.

These are some of the plethora of bunnies? Will the spotted skin bunnies have white and black fur?
We are having a heat wave. It is ten degrees tonight. Your bunnies remind me that spring is coming.

I have never seen baby bunnies. They are precious.

I had bunnies growing up. First Thumper, then Mopsy and Flopsy, then Cindy (my neighbors little girl named the last one).

I once had a cockatiel named Mr. Peabody. I had him for several years and then one morning I woke up with something that looked like an egg in the bottom of the cage. I thought my parents were playing a joke on me but it as really an egg.

Needless to say, I had to change his name to Mrs. Peabody. She was quite sweet. I now have a Goffins Cockatoo and unless they are surgically sexed, you do not know for sure. She loves men, so I think she's a girl.

Keep them warm and glad you are feeling a little better.
