7 Things About Me

Marni tagged me awhile back to tell you 7 things about me that you do not know. I really don't know if that's possible.

Seriously. I have shared just about everything with you. So, I'll give it my best shot.

1. I dated twins. Oh yeah. They were supposedly identical, but trust me when I say that they were NOT.

2. One of my best friends in Nova Scotia (ok, it was one of the twins) and I 'borrowed' a car one night. He found it parked in a driveway, with the keys in it. It was a sign from a higher power that we should be out on the open road. We (he) drove for hours. We toured Dartmouth, then headed out on the highway. I think that we drove all night.
We actually drove it right back to the house where we 'found' it, and then walked home. I always wondered what the guy that owned it must have thought when he woke up and saw his dusty car was less one tank of gas.

3. I seldom drink alcohol, but when I do, I am over come with the urge to play Yahtzee. Apparently, I am somewhat competitive. I have been known to scream IN YOUR FACE, KOSTYALIK, in Shawns face, and I become a tad animated. Suffice it to say, that nobody will play with me anymore.

4. I love the Spice Girls. I do, and I am not ashamed.

5. The ring tone on my cell phone is the A-Team theme song. That's right, it is.

6. I am closer to my former mother in law than I am to either one of my mothers, or most of my other relatives. We decided a long time ago that her son was a scrub, but that had nothing to do with either one of us, and we are closer now than ever.

7. I had can do a wicked cool Xena impersonation. You know, the Warrior Princess? Well, I can do her call, perfectly. It would make Lucy Lawless proud as hell.

Well, that's all I can think of (that I am willing to share at this point in time). I don't know who to tag. I would like to hear 7 unknown facts about all of my blog buddies, so go ahead. I dare you.

I bet the hubby would like the xena outfit on ya in the bedroom. heehhehee

The a-team song, that is classic!! I love it!!!!

Biddie said...

burfica - He would love the outfit, for sure, but everyone is sick of hearing the impersonation. Some people just don't appreciate talent when they hear it.
I love the A-Team ring tune partly because I always know when MY phone is ringing.

WOuldn't you like to know my secrets!!! Hahahaha.I have only dated one half of identical twins but since the first day I met them, I didn't realize they were twins. How do folks fall for that shit?
I am only competitive in Air Hockey. It brings out the best/worst/Xena in me.

LOL Quote of the year!

I'll be back with 7 things in a bit.

Biddie said...

dilling - LOL. I didn't know at first that there were two of them. I thought that it was one guy that just got around a lot.
I am SO competitive at air hockey! It drives Shawn nuts.

katy - Um, yeah, their hair was different colours. :)
I would love the Spice Girls new cd, but I think that Kristy might be getting it, so I'll just copy hers. She LOVES The Spice Girls, too. She just won't admit it!

corky - It's bad, I must confess. I do get a LITTLE out of hand. Shawn calls me the Yahtzee Nazi.

You crack me up... that is the Biddie I know and love.

Competitive at Yahtzee? What about Uno?

Biddie said...

marni - :)
Uno...Well, I haven't played that for years, but I have a feeling that yes, I would be. (sigh)
Also, I forgot to mention that we were 17 when we borrowed that car. AND, I did NOT date the twins at the same time. Well, not REALLY. :)

You're BACK!

All of that stuff is why I've adored you for like, half my life. The twins thing- that never gets old! And the car! I love that story!

As for th Yahtzee thing, ha! I think there'll be another rowdy Trivial Pursuit game this Christmas. I'M JUST SAYIN!!!

Biddie said...

heidi - Well, heck, YES, we were already planning the whole Trivial Pursuit thing. I wonder if you and I are good enough to take on the guys? I know TV, you know music...
I am SOOO glad that I can still entertain you with my tales. One of the many reasons that that I have adored you for like over half of my life!

Love it that you "borrowed" the car. The Spice Girls? Don't get me started. I was actually listening to them at work today on my iPod, which got me to thinking that I should check to see where they were touring. No where near Atlanta of course. However, they are doing 3 shows in Canada...not too familiar with the Provinces up there to know if any of them are close to you.

BTW-my sister lives in New Jersey. I fly into Newark and they are performing there in February. I am tempted to talk to her about going. One night we were in the grocery store being silly (we may have had some cocktails before we got there) and out loud where people were standing we starting saying what spice would we be if we were a Spice Girl. I can't remember exactly what spice she said she wanted to be - maybe Ginger, but I said I wanted to be All Spice. Which one would you be?

Oh, and I'll take that dare even though you didn't double dog dare me!

Biddie said...

dj andi - I was gonna be Old Spice! lol
They are playing here, in Toronto, but the tickets sold out in less than 2 minutes!
I guess that I won't be seeing them after all....

I am insulted that you say that no one wants to play Yahtzee with you because I totally would if the game had not gone missing.

Biddie said...

KC - Well, ok, I should say that nobody will play with me when I am drinking, and that is when I want to play the most.
Sigh....

Canadian flake said...

omg I loveeeeeeeee the spice girls...thought maybe I was the only one..lmao.

Great list...thanks for sharing!!

Michael Colvin said...

Yahtzee Nazi!!! Lol!

I am so buying a plane ticket to come over so we can get drunk and play Yahtzee!

Biddie said...

canadian flake - I'm glad to 'see' you again. I LOVE The Spice Girls! I wanted so badly to take the girls (my girls) to them, but we couldn't get the tix in time...Not only that, but I don't think that I could afford 4 tickets...Sigh.
So, tell me, HOW will I Spice Up my life NOW?

tod - Oooh! I can't wait! Katy is coming next spring, and are going to meet at Niagara Falls (well, that is the plan, anyway). You should so come and bring G....Oh, what fun! Think you can deal with my drunken antics? lol

FOUR DINNERS said...

Did this via Her Indoors.

Actually done it again. I like this. Some of the stuff popping out of my head was unknown to me n all until I remembered it...

Biddie said...

4D - I read your list. It was great. Is there more now? I better go look.....You have a way of making me smile, no matter how I feel.

Phoenix5 said...

Yahtzee Nazi... LOL! That is sooo funny!

Dartmouth, huh? I used to live there... a long time ago! I still love the Maritimes and lately have been craving a visit to Nova Scotia and a day at Peggy's Cove.

Love your list! I did one some time ago, but maybe I can come up with 7 more. Stay tuned!

Biddie said...

pheonix - Shawn calls me the Yathzee Nazi. He thinks it's soo funny, too :)
I lived in Dartmouth in 86 and 87 and I lived in Cape Breton the summer of 84. My family is from there, and to me, Nova Scotia will always be home. I miss it sooo much.
What a small world! I bet that we do know each other outside of blogland.
Are you going to do another list? This is about the 6th time that I have done it, but I always seem to come up with more.....

He he he! I really want to know how you could tell the difference between the twins.

Ok you lost cool points with me on #4 but gained them back with #5.

Fun post! I love Zena too - I watched so many of her TV shows when grandson was little, he once said he wanted to grow up to be Zena.

Oh, you too had a bit of wild child in you - well, we have stuff to tell our grandkids or write in our life stories, no doubt!

You are one of a kind!

Biddie said...

whim - LOL. I'm glad that I got my cool points back! I'll have to tell you the difference in an email. You, know, mixed company and all!

gardenia - Thank you :) I think the wild child is mostly a memory, now. I did have fun, though.

DJ Andi said...

Old Spice...love it!

Biddie said...

dj andi - I knew that you would! Honestly, tho, it was my sil that came up with it...

I lived in Dartmouth from 71 - 73 (I think). I was just a kid back then, but I still have some very strong memories of those years.

Funny story - I was recently contacted on Facebook by a guy wanting to know if I had lived in Dartmouth during that time. When I confirmed I had, he then told me his wife claims to have gone to my sixth birthday party! Funny how she remembers me, but I have absolutely no recollection of her! Oooops! LOL! This world is indeed very small, and the internet is only making it smaller!

Biddie said...

pheonix- It really is a small world! I have had some people contact me via facebook that I barely remember. I always hate it when they know me and I am at a loss! I wonder if we know any of the same people..hmmmm.
