So, I am back. Thanks for all of the emails and phone calls :) Everything is fine now. I kind of bottomed out there on the weekend. It's kind of scary when I do, because I just feel so hopeless.......
Anyway, I do feel a little better. I am still feeling icky with this cold. My house is TRASHED, and the worst news is - I still don't have my Christmas village set up.
That in itself is depressing.
I have a friend stopping by today that I haven't seen is 13 years.
Thirteen. That is alot of pressure, folks. The house is sooo wrecked, and I feel about as abad as the house looks. I am excited about seeing her, though. Plus, she's bringing coffee.
So, I'll be back later. I REALLY have to run.
Thanks for thinking of me. I'll be catching up with you all as soon as my coffee kicks in.

Great news. Enjoy your time with your friend, it's surely going to be great.
Don't worry about the Christmas Village. Think of us: in my home country, we don't do anything until December 8th (which is the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary day for the Catholics). That day, we set up the Nativity, which is the most important part (as it is the only religious one).
A few days before Christmas, we finally give up and go with the pagan rites (Christmas tree, Santa Claus, etc).
Or at least that's how it was when I was a kid. Nowadays, the North American culture has affected Argentina to such extent that we even celebrated Hallowe'en this year!
But we won't do anything until Dec 8.
When you get your village up, make sure you post a picture. We decorate early, but that's the 1st of December! You keaner. I love my village too.
Fuck the housework! I'm glad you are feeling a lot better Biddie. :)
When the village appears on your blog I'll know the countdown for Christmas has truly begun.
"I still don't have my Christmas village set up."
How long are you going to make me fucking wait? LOL
Just kidding. I'm glad that you're feeling better. You really had me worried Biddie.
Glad to hear that you're feeling somewhat better. I'm sorry I was away from my computer all weekend and didn't see your posts. I would have sent virtual hugs your way if I had. Hope you enjoyed your visit from your friend! 13 years is a long time! don't worry about your house... a true friend won't notice the mess! LOL! Take care and feel better, my friend!
glad you are feeling a bit more chirper, is that a word? just wish i could spell sometimes lol!
mind you have enough trouble speaking too most of the time, well getting the right words out in the right order!
have a good time with your friend, enjoy the coffee, and just rememeber it is you they are coming to see not whether the house work has been done!
who who who who who?
Who's the long lost friend?
It's someone I know isn't it?
I know how you feel. Cleaning house depresses me, too. In fact, I feel a sneeze coming on.....aaaachhoooo, now.
So glad you are back. I worry about you honey...
I hope your visit went well and I'm sure your friend cared a lot more about seeing you that how your house looked.
gabriel - I love my little village so much, and that's why I put it up early. I want it out for as long as possible! The twinkling lights always cheer me up.
I don't think that I could wait until the 8th of December to start my festivities.
I did have a good visit with my friend, but she was here about 3 hours early! The house was upside down, and I was in my jammies...Other than that, it was great.
rain - We took the village out of storage tonight. I think that I have to do some furniture moving first, but by this time tomorrow, I will have my village up and running. (except for the fountain, which is broken)
I WILL post photos. Oh yes.
tod - LOL! You crack me up! I am working on the village, I hope to have it up by this time tomorrow. Oh yeah! Start the count down :)
The housework did NOT get done...The place looked like HAZMAT should be here - but she came in anyway. I am feeling a little better :)
corky - It's all good. I am feeling better. I will feel MUCH better when the village is up. Soon, Corky, soon....
I finally gave up on my house - if people don't visit after cleaning lady day, well, they just have to look at the disorder!
Speaking of messy houses. Can someone PLEASE tell me why being married is making my house messier, dirtier and more difficult to clean than not married? Please? Someone please help me out!
glad to see you back hon...as always I am here thinking of you and praying for you..
Remember when things are dark, that you are loved!!
(((((((hugs))))))))))
I hope your visit with your friend goes well and that you feel better soon!
You've been tagged - cause I love ya that way...
A friend with coffee is always good. A friend with coffee and pastries would rock even more. But hey we take what we get as it comes.
:-)
I haven't been around too much lately. Sorry you have not been well. It is good to have friends even if they're blog friends. Support is very important. Hope you feel better, but just know that a true friend won't care if your house is spotless as long as you get to visit.
Enjoy!
Been a bit tied up (ransom paid so they released me) and missed your crisis. Soz babe. You ok now? x
