I finally reached someone at the shrinks office today. Not the doc, but his receptionist. She has assured me that he WILL be calling, and I WILL be getting my meds.

Yay! I am hoping to hear form him before the end of the week.

Jessica goes for her check up on Friday morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she has actually gained weight. It's difficult to tell, because she is getting so darn tall! Her birthday is on the 16th, and she is having a party here on Saturday night.

I am so pumped about the thought of teenagers crawling all over my house for 2+ hours. Can't you tell?

I am with Coffey on that one!

I am having an 18th Birthday Party for the Teenager on NEW YEAR'S Eve! Yeah, I was having fun that night!

My house has been crawling with my parents and teenagers all week. We are getting ready for a craft fair on Saturday. Proceeds benefit the Teenager fund!

Good, you reached the Pshrink's office. Now call them again!! mwahahaha!

Seriously if you don't hear from him by 3 or 4 call again. Put the pressure on. I know it's hard but it's worth it

Now as for this teenager thing...I had five girls in my house a few weeks ago. I burnt popcorn in the microwave, almost lost the dog, and still can't find the DVD remote. Good luck. I'll be thinking of you. Praying...

I wasn't expecting to hear anything by the end of the day yesterday, because the end of his day was 2:00. I knew that it would never happen. I will call later today if I still haven't heard anything.
We lost our remote control when we redid the carpets. That was months ago, and I haven't seen it since. It probably got thrown out with the trash :(
I think that Jessie invited about 16 kids to the house. Yes, 16 That was not a typo! Hopefully, it will be relatively painless b/c they are going to hang out her room, and watch movies.
Ruby will lose her mind, though. She freaks out when new people are here.
I wish that I had some meds for Saturday night. :)

Glad you finally got the guy - hopefully you'll be on your way soon! I am lucky - mine usually calls within the same day -

Little "S" has grown two inches but not put on any weight - it does make you worry, doesn't it?

Have fun with your teens! I hope you will be surprised and will have tons of fun!

I heard from my shrink!
Whoo Hoo!
I didn't get an appointment until February, BUT I can start my meds tomorrow. (Tonight, if I had bus fare and the willingness to head out into the cold). He will increase the doseage every few weeks, all I have to do is get the pharmacy to fax his office. That will keep me going until my appointment.
I expect to have all kinds of fun with the teenagers :)
I am a little concerned about Jessie and her weight. Not like I was in October, but worried, just the same. I'll let you know how it goes. How tall is Little S now? Is he under weight? It is scary.....

Good news on the meds. A house full of kids, blimey I would need meds for that!

I'm so glad that you've finally heard something from them. About time!

As for the party, you are strong and will survive. I'll light a candle for you. ;-)

Can't get an appointment until FEBRUARY???? That's INSANE! Even for Ontario... he's a SHRINK for crying in a puddle! His patients could be quite "mental"! (Sorry, not you... lol!) I just hope that one of his other patients waiting for an appoinment 3 months away doesn't flip out and start killing people... sheesh!

Glad to hear he's at least getting you back on your meds. But to increase the dosage without a physical visit... this guy sounds like the proverbial quack...

Good luck with the houseful of girls... make sure you have good ear protection! ;-) Those squeals can get pretty ear-piercing!

Glad you got someone at the office to pick up the phone. Isn't that the most annoying thing?

Glad you will be getting your meds. They are important.

Have fun with the teenagers - I don't envy you one bit...better get on the meds before they get there.
