This is a guest post that I did over at Shawns place. I needed to vent, but I wasn't ready to share my thoughts with the masses. It has been a few weeks now, and I reposting it. Just skip over it if you have already read it.
I'm back, looking forward to catching up.
burfica - YAY! Good to see you again :)
I love and appreciate your transparancy!
Chellie - LOL. Thank you :)
Hi B,yes I read that. People who are un-understanding of anothers mental illnesses are just igronant... Pffffttt to them.
Heather - You are so right. Mind you, I am way more tolerant of lots of different people/things since I have grown older. Anyway, that is just one of the many reasons that you rock :)
Why is someone giving you shit still? I think that your humor is very healthy and a good thing. Never give it up. I always enjoy reading what you have to say. You keep me going some days. I love ya Biddie!
You know my thoughts on this Biddie...having spent all that time on the psyche ward gives one a different perspective. Most of the world runs from mental illness of any sort because they don't understand it and are scared of it. We might be contagious you know!!!!Have a look at Sweet Irene - http://zoethout.blogspot.com/She is bi-polar with a personality disorder as well thrown in.....but she talks about it everyday and tells us how she's doing. She's smart - articulate - and a sweetie really.
btw - the chances are 1 in 4 of everyone suffering from some type of mental illness in their lifetime. So whoever is calling you crazy - might just end up calling herself that one day.Just sniff and move on girl - you are the better one.
Excellent! You should have posted it here. More people need to read that.
This comment has nothing to do with the associated post... really... it was the easiest way to wish you a Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mothers Day Bridget! You are a good mom!
You aren't crazy babe. It's everybody else ;-)Look. You are you and you're a fighter.Never stop. You inspire me and, I suspect, many others. One day I'm going to get out there and buy you a few ok?4D xx
hi sweetie I have missed ya, hope jessica is ok, and all of you too.i aree with 4D as well x
Well said. And I truly believe if we don't develop some sense of humor about our illnesses, mental or physical, that means the illness is winning. We have to, its a coping mechanism - I read once that some of our best comedians have their materials because of their "dark sides and/or tragedies they cope(d) with. Yeah, dangling whatever there. Anyway thanks for your courage to be outspoken. I know you are helping others along the way, and if someone doesn't like it then they have the problem, not you!
Hey youHappy mother's day!xo
