Not Much Happening...................

Well, there isn't much going on here. Shawn got laid off, but it looks like he will have some work out of town.
He is going out of town to do some work for family. My family. Not the blood kind, but the kind that you choose because they are so great. He will be staying with them for the duration....
He assures me that he will be on his best behaviour.

I have dental surgery on Wednesday. I don't mind telling you that I am scared outta my mind. I am petrified of the dentist, and I always need laughing gas.
Never makes me laugh.
Ever.
Since Shawn will be gone and KC and Kayla are in school, I will have see if Spencer will pick me up on his day off. I will be a big mess and plan on spending the rest of the day in bed.

Things are fairly normal here otherwise. I like normal - well, our version of normal, anyway.
Jessica is healthy and happy (and turning 14 next month), KC loves school, Kayla and Cody are surviving in the same house without killing each other, and Christmas is coming.

Oh yeah, life is good :)

Yeash, other than that dental surgery thing...

I really think when I get my teeth cleaned again I'll be asking for the juice. Just get me all comfortably numb. The pain in the gums is one thing, the chest panic is another.

Anyways... it's good to have a talented tradesman in the "family" and it's also good having a house big enough to have him stay while he's working!

I wonder what he means by best behaviour. That should be interesting.

He gets the room with the TV.

Can't guarantee the pug but I'm sure the cat will visit!

Heidi's was the name I thought of when you said 'the kind of family that you choose because they're great'. It seems I was right...

I'm happy to see that (almost) everything is OK, though I really hope Shawn can get back on his feet soon. Christmas is coming, and if you compare your present to let's say, six or ten months ago, I guess you will agree with me you guys have lots to celebrate... :-)

You must have had some bad experiences at the dentist for you to be so afraid of them. That's too bad.

I have a wonderful dentist. Last time he filled a tooth I had to ask him if he had done it!

Good luck dear Biddie. You'll be sore - but you'll be okay! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!

Heidi - You need the juice for a cleaning? I am ok for a cleaning, but just about anything else, I need to be out.
Shawn will probably just sleep when he isn't working. That's what he does when he is away from home. Otherwise, he just misses me too much :)

Gabriel - That is exactly why I feel so great. When I think of where we were last year at this time...Yikes. The nightmare started last October and it really didn't end until we go the good news that Jessica's kidneys were fine.
I know that we have been blessed...
We have every reason to celebrate this year!

Aims - I have had some awful experiences....Just plain bad...This dentist is great, I really like him, buut that alone will not keep me calm! I was actually asked to leave midway thru a filling by a dentist b/c I was shaking so bad, and crying...I almost tore the arm off of his chair!

oh honey my prayers are with you about the dental surgery. I don't know if you remember last year when i had mine. I have this crippeling fear of dentists, and had to actually go in the hospital and all the way under. So...yeah I feel your fear and I'll be praying for ya.

burfica - Thank you :) The last time that I had dental surgery, I was all the way out, too, and it was soo much better than just the gas.
This time, it is a different doc and he really has no idea what a mess I am. Yet.
This time should be easier than the last time.
I think......

Wooo boy!

The dentist thing has gotten worse over the years. If you don't go for a few years (like 5) because you can't afford it, it's a more difficult thing. I just don't need the horrific chest pain that comes with it. I used to put up with it but I just don't want to anymore!

So it's good to hear that Shawn'll sleep when he's not working, cuz we don't have cable TV. And also, I hate to say it, but he's gonna get worked pretty hard. Good thing he's of good strong European stock!
