I go to get finger printed on Friday the 16th. It is creeping up on me, and freaking me out. Shawn is coming with me, but I still have no idea of how we'll get to the police station. It is actually out of town, and I don't think that there are any buses that go that way. I guess that we'll figure it out. I feel like vomitting at the very thought of walking through the doors of the police station. Thank goodness for Shawnie.
Kayla and J are on their March break all this up coming week. Heidi, the kids and the Pug are coming for a visit, probably on Thursday. Those are the extent of our plans. I am looking forward to a big dose of pug love, and some quality time with my bestest.
KC may be going to Texas for a few days on or around the 19th. We're still dealing with passport issues, and my darling sister, Posh, has yet to finalize any of the details. This whole trip was Posh's idea, and I can't help but feel like it is just another opportunity for her to show off. Oh well. If KC gets to travel and see some of this big world of ours, then I guess that I'm ok with it.
The most exciting thing to happen in weeks was this. A hawk landed in our back yard and had a mid afternoon snack.
I took this photo from about 15 feet away, but I was in the house, looking out through my dirty kitchen window. I had to use my cell phone camera, so the photos aren't exactly Dilling quality. ( I wish).
It was a little bit like Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. I was waiting with baited breath for Jim to come leaping aroung the side of my house with a net. (While Marlin Perkins watched safely from the jeep).
Never happened.
Maybe next time.

Oh man, a hawk in your back yard?
Coooool!
(He better not eat my Pug when I come to visit!!!)
Heidi - Naw, no worries. He was a little guy, just the size of a small chicken. It was pretty cool tho.
I'm telling ya, my own wild kingdom.
Know I'll be thinking of you on Friday. {{{hugs}}}
Cool hawk pics!
Have you gotten a lawyer yet? I know they are expensive but these charges are completely rediculous, and if you get covicted, it can really mess up your life.
You can call almost any lawyer for a free 1 hour consultation in Ontario. They may be able to get the charges dropped before you go to court. I don't know where you are but I'm in London, Ontario. If you are close, I might be able to recomend a couple of good ones.
goodluck (HUG) :)
catherine
whimsical - Thanks for the positive thoughts and the hugs. I can use them both.
Catherine - I am in kitchener, not too far from you. In my wildest dreams, the charges would be dropped before I go to court. I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about this.
Thanks for the hugs.
oh biddie wish i could come with you as well for moral support, glad Shawn is going with you, we will all be thinking about you and sending lots of hugs and love to you x
Who needs TV with a back yard like that!!
Hopefully the passport thing will work out, I'm sure KC will enjoy the trip.
Don't worry about the fingerprints. I'm sure it'll be no big deal, just in and out. My ex husband worked as a corrections officer for some time, and really, it's quick, and as long as you're polite, they really are nice and happy to be polite back.
Maybe Shawn could take a picture of you getting finger printed with you flipping the camera off....
I'll still love you, even if you are a convicted criminal...!
lots of love,
Camie
her indoors - You'll be with me in spirit. I know that I will much better when this is over, but in the meantime.....
ldbug - I'm telling you, Wild kingdom! it was so cool to see, I've never seen a hawk close up before.
KC's trip is off, but she may get a chance to travel later on. I think that she's a bit bummed out, but it was kinda rushed.
I know that the police will be nice, and I know that they are just doing their job, but I still feel sick about the whole thing. I swear, if my dad knew, he would be rolling in his grave......
Camie - Thanks for the love. I think that I'll be feeling a little too subdued to be flipping anyone off. Maybe....
I don't remember ever being finger printed! I'm jealous!!
4D - I'll try to remember how lucky I am on Friday. I'l try....
Hi hun just wanted to say I am back and a hawk in your backyard the are hansom birds, beautiful in flight.
Hi, Jo. Good to see you back!
The hawk was amazing to watch. I actually opened my window to get a better look at him and he just continued eating. He does make me worry about the bunnies that we occasionally keep leashed in the back yard, tho.
Yes I made it back to Uk safe and sound and now time to get back to my blogging buddies, good to hear from you too.
WoW. A hawk in your garden! We get flocks of starlings in the mornings. They drive the cats wild.
Tod - This bird would have flown off with my cat! My cat is a scard - y cat, anyway. He just watches safely from the window.
have you got the heat fixed yet? Good thing spring is just around the corner.
I know why I love you so much - you and Skippyhusband are so much alike...that Jim and Marlin Perkins comment had me rolling on the floor laughing... SKH says that all the time - but he is especially fond of Jacque Cousteau and his assistant whom he always threw in the water with the sharks and watch idly while safe in the boat.
Girlie..you are awesome...talking to you on friday I can say you handled yourself with grace and you deserve so much more than to be harnessed with this crap.
I send you BIG, BIG Skippy hugs and never forget...we here in the US know you ain't no criminal Mama! Hee!!
skippy - I knew that you would get the reference! It was a sight to behold.
I don't know if I handled myself with grace, but I didn't puke, which was a bonus. Mostly for the cop, tho.....
