Ruby in Blue

Blue. That's how I'm feeling. This court date is hanging over my head like an ominous dark cloud.
To make matters worse, I broke another tooth today. Right up front. We have no coverage, and I now have a jagged mess in the front of my face, not to mention the pain that goes along with it.
I am trying to stay positive, but it gets exceedingly more difficult with each passing day.
Sorry to bum you out, guys.

I chipped my two front teeth playing football years ago. It hurt like a bitch for months.

Hang in there Biddie. You'll get through this!

Ouch. Tooth woes are the last thing you need, right? Like everyone says, hang in there, Biddie.

Skippy - You ARE a great friend! I am trying like hell not to give in to my depression, but it's hard. I have no money to get my teeth fixed, and they are getting worse. I don't even want to leave the house looking like this....I do appreciate the hugs, tho. Big time.

Corky - I made it through the finger printing, and I know that I'll make it through this, too. I know it, I just can't imagine HOW at this point.

asterisk - I have been scared my whole life of losing my teeth. Ever since I was a little kid, I've had nightmares about it. Freaks me out.
I'm hanging in there.

Sorry about your teeth. Why don't you come and live over here? No one will even notice, even if your teeth look like Shane MacGowans.

Just sayin...;)

whimsical - Hugs are great! They help, really. Thanks :)

tod - You actually made me laugh! I am going to google Shane MacGowan RIGHT now.

Biddie said...

Tod - The Pogues! Of course, now I know who you mean! That guy has some jacked up teeth, alright. Poor sod.

Michael Colvin said...

I was hoping it would take your mind off and you would see the funny side :)

You know what makes me feel better? Shiny stuff. Let's get you some shiny stuff. Just saying. lol. Or you can borrow some of my shiny stuff. How about my Marilyn ring?

Biddie said...

Tod - You're killing me here! I DO feel much prettier than Mr. MacGowan.

KC - Shiny things? Like new teeth?

Heidi the Hick said...

Tod is brilliant.

Shiny pants, Biddie, like on Pinky and The Brain.

Geez. You left such a lovely comment on the post I just put up!!!!! Remember the light! The glowing sunset walks with two silly little dogs!!!!

If I win that short story contest (I entered it in a new one) I will buy you a new tooth. I promise. I'd give you one of mine but I'm still using them all and you know, I have that facial anxiety thing...

Also a few days ago I freaked out because I wasn't sure if I gave you a hug last time I saw you! So I'll give you an extra four when we see you next. Oh, and I'll give you a Pug too, ok?

xoxoxo

Biddie said...

Heidi - No, I don't think that I did get a hug. It's ok. We'll double up next time.
You would really buy me a new tooth? I am so freaked out about my teeth, and they just keep getting worse.
You're giving me a pug, too? Oh lucky day!

ldbug said...

Ouch! Well, hang tough, the night is always darkest before the dawn, (not sure where that quote comes from...)

*hugs*

ONE WEEK TO PUG DROP OFF AND EXTRA HUGS!!!

katy said...

oh biddie poor you, but we still love ya teeth or no teeth! smile, could say say cheese he he he

Biddie said...

ldbug - Thanks. :)

heidi - One more week? Wicked. We can't wait. Although, a pug would be a great fashion accessory on the red carpet. Or is it asain kids this year? Never could keep up with the trends.

Her indoors - cheeses?
(groans loudly)
Thanks for the love.

Heidi the Hick said...

pffff! Pug or asian kid? I can't decide!!!! Should I be Tori or Angelina???????

(please tell me there are other options!)

Biddie said...

heidi - Seems like those are the only choices. African kids are SO yesterday, and plain old Canadian or American kids?
So last week.
We'll never fit in because we can't adopt from another country.
It's not fair.
BTW, where is Madonna's kidnapped son? Was that just a photo op, or what?

Hang in there, you'll get thru this...

You will make it through this. If I wasn't so freaking poor I would help you out with a lawyer for this. The whole thing is complete crap. I can't believe they are wasting court time over this. You might try this link to find someone to help http://www.lawyershop.ca/practices/criminal-lawyers.php

I lost a filling last week, and when I went to the dentist on wednesday, He said it needed to be pulled because, apparently, it is a baby tooth, and he can't fill it again. AND my remaining wisdom teeth (the two bottom ones) are growing back into my jaw and deteriating my jawbone. Great. So now I have to have surgery to have them removed. !@#$%.

Then after, I head into work, and in one of the Toronto papers there is a picture of that guy "Lucky" who won the 18 million in lotto649. Just check out that pic! I hope he uses that money to buy new teeth for crying out loud. I'm going to have nightmares from that pic.

here is another link that might help with your teeth. Its very inexpensive for people with no insurance. http://www.schulich.uwo.ca/Dentistry/clinicinfo.html

biddie, look on the bright side. With one tooth missing you can eat corn-on-the-cobb one row at a time. It will last longer that way.

I won’t offer to be our best friend – you have hubby for that. But if you need bars cleared, wars fought, people to disappear or your grass cut, I’m your man.

Just let me know what I can do...

Biddie said...

stinkypaw - I know I will, it would just be easier if I were a drinker :)

Catherine - It's funny, I see alot of famous/rich people that have bad teeth. I mean BAD teeth, and I always wonder about that. If I had the $$$, my teeth would be white, straight, and perfect. I don't care about much else, I am who I am, but my teeth...
I had 4 wisdom teeth surgically removed about 5 years ago. The surgery was fine, but the recovery. I was drugged up and spoon fed for 10 days. 10. It was rough. Good luck. Ask for good drugs, they'll help.
I'll check out the links that you gave me. I am more worried about appearing in court than what will happen to me. I think that I can deal with anything except community service. If I could do that, then I would be working. For pay. I would be volunteering, too, if I could get out of the house....

coffeypot - One tooth missing? Try again. If it were only ONE....Oh well. I'll be a hit this Hallowe'en.
You meantioned something about people disappearing? I'll keep that in mind.

Cindydianne - Know a good, cheap, Canadian dentist? A good, cheap, Canadian lawyer?
How's the un packing coming along? You must be in heaven!

hey gal, I'm so sorry -seems like a dark cloud needs to be blown off you! That is a gorgeous pic although so blue -

Like you, my teeth are a "thing" for me - they are so tied into me emotionally or vice-versa. My oldest daughter paid for a bridge for my two front teeth which were looking like hell for me. Bless her, bless her. I couldn't afford it - dentists aren't real big on floating loans for a person....
