The Beyonce Experience

The Beyonce Experience...It's kind of in point form now, because blogger is being an ass hat, and I have tried about 3 times to publish this, so I'm just pushlishing as is.....

Check out the background singers. BBW. Seriously. I dig them. Big, beautiful, and fabulous singers...
See the scary looking girl with the guitar? She now has five new big fans. I can not say enough about Beyonce's band. Incredible. Amazing. Beyond words.

My sister sent us the tickets, just because. She is SO cool like that. This is also the sister that sent me 2 ipods a few months back. Anyway, my sister has a friend that works at the record label, and did he ever hook us up! We got floor seats, 11th row. Now, in case you didn't hear me, I'll say it again. ELEVENTH ROW. Heidi and I were practically shaking. I mean, we could see Beyonce's face. Like her facial features. It was AMAZING. I will never have seats like that again, ever.

Robin Thicke opened for Beyonce, and all I could think of was...Your Dad used to be on Growing Pains. He tried - bless his heart - to dance, but most of his moves? Not so much with the dancing. Some were really good, others were more like a cry for help. His singing was not my style, but still very good.

We made it back to the bus station at 11:20- our bus was leaving at 11:30. Ten minutes to spare. Unbeliveable.
How amazing is it that two anxiety ridden chics made it to the Big City, with kids in tow, and home again, without a full blown attack?

I am so proud of us.

Great seats at a great concert - can't get much better than that. I am so glad y'all had a good time. We need those little moments in our lives. Mine would be to work in the pits at a NASCAR race. Even if it is in that spoiled little shit-pot Kile Bush's pit.

Cindydianne - The kids had a great time. I forgot to post the photo of Heidi having a great time..I'll have to do that later. Blogger was reallly acting today - Grrr! I'm so glad that we all made it!

Her Indoors - If you ask Shawn, he is always right! The seats were wonderful, and I am still glowing!

Coffeypot - Well, Beyonce is not my 1st choice for a concert, but it was an incredible show. If you weren't fan, you will be after one of her concerts. You're right, we all need little moments. I'm glad that I got to share mine with Heidi and her Girl.

Heidi - Stupid blogger wouldn't download all of my photos, and my 1st blogs..GRRRR. I got tired of the rewrites.
Lucky told me that her friend was actually AT the concert last night. I wonder if he came down to take a gander at the hicks in the 11th row? Apparently he travels with Beyonce on all of her tours. Poor guy.
It really was a great show. Amazing. Incredible. And nobody seemed to nice that we didn't belong! We pulled it off!
Yes, more photos to come! (evil laughter) :)

saly - Well, it wasn't too bad for me, b/c I wasn't alone. I don't think that I would have been as brave if I would have had to get on that bus alone, even though I have been to Toronto a million times....Still I am very proud of myself, and Heidi, too! thanks for the kudos!

Heidi - Mine, too! LOL! Walking through those black curtains....Whew! I felt like a star! It really was TOO much!
Yeah, I hope that Lucky's friend DIDN'T come to check us out! Oh man, what a bunch of hicks! LMAO!

rain - Don't encourage me! LOL! You just might create a monster!

Beyounce and the girls are beautful. The concert must have been wonderful. I am glad that you were able to make the trip. A boy from my school was mesmerized by Beyounce. He would perform her songs and mimic her moves. The other students loved these quite unusual performances. (He called himself Johnuonce.)

mjd - You should have seen all of the people that could sing every word and mimic every move! It really was a fabu concert.

whimsical - Thank you! (blushing). I'm kind of proud of me,too. We really did have a great time. I still can't get over the VIP seating. I feel like a star!

Biddie said...

marni - I wish that you could have been there, too! The whole experience was incredible - the VIP seating, the music, the performers, and of course, the friends that I was there with.
Maybe one of these days, you'll head this way for a visit, and we can all hang out....I must warn you though, Heidi, can NOT be trusted with a camera. Just saying.

What a fun experience! Beyonce is so beautiful - and so nice to see a show that doesn't leave us voluptuous, yah, I say voluptuous women feeling condemned to never being glam.

Anxiety is wierd - my one daughter can't make it to the grocery store one week, but the next can travel to Costa Rica. Dunno.

Anyway, sure glad you had some fun, got out, and ROCKED!

Heidi the Hick said...

I cannot be trusted either behind or in front of a camera.

How awesome is that????!!!!! She is so beautiful!!!

I've only ever been to two concerts. When I was younger, my best friend, sister and I, went to a Warrant concert. They had Anthrax open for them, and Anthrax had Brittany Fox open for them. We called Brittany Fox out for three encores, and boo'd Anthrax off the stage. Warrant kicked ass. We were in the 5th row!!!! whoooohoooo

Then for my first year anniversary, the hubby got us Billy Dean tickets (country singer) I didn't know how BIG that guy was, till he walked down our row (big space between first few rows and ours) and he stopped to hug some of us (me me me me) then just held on to me, all the way down the line as he shook hands. I had to go back to my hubby later and tell him how awesome it was. lmaoooooooooo

Oh yeah and Billy Dean is like 6 foot 7 or so, and not skinny, but built. hehehe Made Gigantor look like a baby giant. hehehe

PS When I go on tour I'm going to make sure you have front row seats. I promise not to sweat on you too much. ;)

Sweat on us, Corky. that's what makes a rock concert worth going to.

Hi! I was just reading your blog for the first time!:)( looking for Robin info) I am a Robin Thicke fan:) I know that you said you really did not care much for him, but that is ok... I just love listening to the concert experiences! But there are many of us that are totally addicted to him...hmmmmm yeah that would be me! LOL Loved your blog! :)

canadian flake - I am so glad that I made ther, too. (my sister would have KILLED me if I hadn't!!)
we really did have a great time. Glad you liked the pics.

stinkypaw - My sister really does rule! We had soo much fun...I can't wait for my next concert, now!!

gardenia - I was really struck by how pretty I thought that Beyonce was. And she seemed soo sweet, too.
Anxiety is weird. I was ok to go to Toronto (an hour away, 2 hours on the bus), because I wasn't going alone. Also, I took taxi's. If I have to take the (city) bus, it's a whole different ball game. Mind you, some days, I can't even answer the phone...Strange. Take a two hour bus ride, no problem, answer the phone...no way! Then again, I obsessed over getting the very back seats (3 in a row so that the 3 of us could sit together to/from concert), so much so that I almost stroked. Yeah, ok. Cuz THAT is life or death...

heidi - We'll see how you do at the next concert. Mind you, I think that I will have to sneak my camera in, and I will be carrying a sign that says CC, I LOVE YOU! Oh, and yes, there will be MUCHO screaming.
Good times.

burfica- I am not exactly an old hand at concerts, either. I had my 1st baby at 18 (almost 19) and that can really cut into partying/concert going/hanging with pals. I won't embarrass myself with a list of groups that I have seen. No thanks. :)
I have never hears of Billy Dean, but it sounds like you had a good time. I am not the most composed person around celebs, and I think that you probably handled yourself very well!

KC - Poison, here we come! CC, I LOVE YOU!!

paddy - good to hear from you! I FEEL experienced now :)

kate - I don't know if I deserve it, but I sure did LOVE it!

corky - I know he does! It was soo weird! He has voice like his mom, though. I kept it together until the end of the show. Beyonce came out, and was waving to everyone, and saying things like ..I see you, there in the yellow shirt, and I see you there, waving at me, HI! and stuff like that. The crowd went crazy to get her attention, and of course, I got a little carried away.
I jumped up and down waving BOTH of arms, and was yelling DO YOU SEE ME, BEYONCE, DO YOU SEE ME?
My kids about died. Heidi too, but she was laughing WITH me. I think.
I want front row seats, but I'm wondering WHAT you'll be going on tour for? Will it be a family show, cuz then I'll need a couple of extra tickets...and a travel allowance...oh, yeah, and back stage passes...Oh heck, we can work the details out later :)

heidi - Do NOT encourage him. Please.

mysoul- Thanks for stopping by! I really did like Robin Thicke, He just isn't really my style. (Beyonce isn't really, either, I went for my 12 yro). He has a great voice, I think that he takes after his mom, and I had a huge crush on his dad when I was a kid, so what's not to love?
He does put on a good show, and I think that in a couple of years, he'll be the big headliner. There were ALOT of screaming girls/women at the concert that thought he pretty great. And, he doesn't hurt the eyes :)
