I Want Action Tonight...

I don't really have to write a report, because Heidi wrote a killer one on her blog, already. Seriously. That chic rocks. Don't believe me? Just check out these photos. This is me and Jethro. I am lucky enough to have two best friends. Heidi and Jethro. I have known Jethro since we were 10. He is like a brother - except I like him. I love him, sure, but I like him. Heidi and I have been friends since we were 13 and 15. That is a LONG time. We have never been to a concert together before. Ever.
Jethro took this photo of Ratt. We were feeling badly because Shawn couldn't make it and he loved Ratt back in the day. We also took a video - a medley of Ratt's big Hit. Round and Round. It was good. They rocked. KC hated them and complained every minute. I was glad when they finished.
Ah...The soccer moms. As the night wore on, they got friendlier and friendlier with each other. I kind of felt like I should have paid extra just to watch them.

C.C. Rocking out. Need I say more?
I'd like to say thank you to my sponsors....Seriously, KC and Spencer paid for everything for me yesterday. They bought my ticket, bought me some food, and even bought me a drink. I did bring my own vodka, though.....
Heidi and Jethro. How cute are they?
Ok. You're still cute.

Brett Micheals and someone else. Who cares. It ain't C.C. Brett played with a broken hand, so I have to give him credit for that, even if he did spend half of his time on stage plugging his new TV show.

You Rock! Seriously, YOU ROCK!
There's Brett and that guy again.
C.C and Brett. Oh yeah. C.C., I love You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C.C doing one of his solos. He was kicking ass. Really. I would have gone just to see him. He still has it.
Group photo, minus Jethro, who was taking the photo. I got frisky with Heidi after watching the soccer moms all night. Couldn't help myself.

I look stoned. Or drunk. Or both. I am neither.

Heidi and KC. Yup, they gotta take the funny face photo every time they see each other. You should see our family album.
In all seriousness, I had soo much fun. Heidi and I laughed until our sides hurt, and even our anxiety(ies) were forgotten for the evening. I spent some time sitting by the water at Lake Ontario, and I have to say, it was incredible. I have missed the ocean more than I realized, and just being near the water was soul cleansing.
The whole night was incredible. The only thing that would have made it better - no perfect - would have been if Shawn would have been there.
Next time. And there will be a next time.

4D - nope, not punk, but we had sooo much fun. The Rebels usually come round in February, and KC and I are hoping to catch them then. Lots of photos then...

very very cool pics. Thanks for sharing and I am glad you had such a good night. Amazing how relaxing it can be to sit by a body of water and just take it in eh? I can have the worst day of my life...go to my river and no matter how upset I am, I can escape it for awhile.

It looks like you had fun!

Heidi - Great? Ummm, no, I just didn't post the really bad photos...Notice that I left the carrot top photo out, too?
Oh, great, now I have the giggles. Thanks.
Damn, I had soo much fun.
You rawk.

Canadian Flake - I miss the water like crazy. There just isn't around here..I used to live by the ocean, and I was born in Wallaceburg (Lake St.Clair), so I guess that the water is really in my blood...I could have sat there all night....
We rally had so much fun, though. It was crazy, crazy, fun. I am so glad that I went. How was your vacation?

Tod - I ALWAYS have fun with Heidi and Jethro. It was a bit strange being a t a concert with my kid, but still very cool. Well, I do have a cool kid, and she has a cool mom, so it all works out :)

I think you should post the carrot top photo. In a separate post. It's worth it and y'know, I can take the abuse!!!!

Heidi - Well, I do have more that I can post. I just kind of gave up today..I spent almost 2 hours just posting these ones. I am posting all of the photos on facebook though...That's what I'm doing RIGHT now :)

I know how exciting a concert can be. I get the same way you guys were evertime I go to a Pete, Paul & Mary concert.

Biddie said...

coffeypot - I have never seen Peter, Paul and Mary in concert, but I hear that they rock. I bet you have some stories!

I am so. freakin'. jealous. I want to go with you guys next time! I totally would have rocked out with you!

I saw Ratt when they opened for Billy Squire and then Bon Jovi when they opened for Ratt!

OMG! I love all those boys...

Sigh...

Biddie said...

rain - I have a feeling that next concert won't be until next summer...I can't afford the rock'n roll life style.
Sigh...

whimsical - We had a blast! I really needed that time away. It was well worth the chest pains, believe me.

Paddy - The best evening. :)

Marni - KC is dying to see Bon Jovi, and Spencer wants me to tag along on that concert...Those tickets will be more like $125 than the $20 we paid for Poison, though. I would LOVE to see Bon Jovi.
Course, I have to get Heidi and Jethro and Shawn to come, too. They're playing in Toronto in January. Wanna come?

Heidi the Hick said...

If I went to that one I'd be snickering all the way through it. I've become a bit of a literary snob and I'd be laughing at all the tangled cliches and mixed metaphors.

But...I gotta admit...they were part of the soundtrack of my youth. How's THAT for a cliche!!!!

I'm really glad we saw that show. It was worth the twenty bucks and the chest pain, for sure.

Looks like you guys had a kick ass time! Very cool. You look good Biddie! What are you happy or something? ;)

Biddie said...

heidi - I think that I know all of the words to all of Bon Jovi's songs...I hear myself singing along when they are on they are on the radio or KC is playing the them.
Soundtrack of our youth, indeed.
I would see Bon Jovi, but they're at ACC and they will be expensive..way out of my price range. If they were 20 smackers, I would be there. I would see anybody for 20 bucks. We had so much anyway,we would have fun even it had been GNR.....lol

Corky - We had a blast! Honestly, Heidi and I laughed until we just couldn't anymore, and I had way more fun then I ever expected to have. Even being there with my kid wasn't weird...Well, you know, I'm a cool Mom and shit, that's why.
I like that photo of me and Jethro. I LOVE the 1st pic of Jethro and Heidi. LOVE it. THAT is what our night was like.

thanks for sharing!!!!

We can't afford Jon Bon.

I wonder how much it would cost to see Axl?

HAHAHAHA

I'd have to go alone...

Biddie said...

Dilling - No problem. I love those pictures sooo much, I just had to!

Heidi - You mean they aren't GIVING away tickets to see Axel? I would go with you...I'd spit on the stage, just for Jethro.
Oh yeah.
Nope, can't afford Jon Bon. KC will have to do this one on her own.

Holy Crap that is awesome.

I saw poison and ratt originally in the 80's and I went to Monsters of Rock to see Poison again years later...

You need to see my iPod to know why I love this post so much...
