I'm Still Here

I got this over at Canadian Flake's blog.....

My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is:
Duchess Bridget the Encompassing of Nether Wombleshire
Get your Peculiar Aristocratic Title

So, as you can see, I am still here. Shawn called the phone company and got us an extentionsion until Friday. I don't know if this is feasible, but at least it bought me some time. (Whew) I will go bonkers if we lose the internet and cable AND our telephone service. Completely over the edge. I am NOT kidding.

My brother arrives tomorrow, with his new wife. I have known her for 23 (?) years, but TMOC and Lovey just got married in May. This will be the 1st time that I will see her as my sister in law. We were supposed to bbq, but TMOC decided that he would rather go out with HIS relatives for dinner instead. Oh, but we can tag alonng if we like....No thanks. I think that I will opt out of this one. We don't have the money, and I am tired of getting shafted, quite frankly. I wonder if TMOC will read this blog entry? Maybe it will do him some good if he does.....I miss the days when we were still close....

my husbands family does that all the time. Plan a big family dinner, and we plan on going and taking a dish, then last minute want to go out to one of the most expensive places in town. But they don't offer to play for anyone.

Pisses me off.

I like your name. You need to do your fortune too. hehehehe

her indoors - I hope that we don't lose the internet, either. We're working on it, so keep your fingers crossed!
I don't know what we'll do for dinner tomorrow. I might make something special for Shawn, cuz he's been working so hard. Our fridge, freezer, and cupboards are almost empty, so it might be stone soup! LOL
I love that photo, too. :)

burfica - Did I forget the fortune? Crap. I'll do it tomorrow...
I'm pissed b/c we always get the shaft for the well to do relatives...I don't have $$ to eat out. I really didn't even have $$ for a bbq, but I thought that we could swing it. How far away are you? Maybe I should my brother over to hang with your hubby's relatives for the eveing. Sounds like they might have a lot in common :)

Hello there Duchess. *curtsies*

I'm still hoping that you'll get to hang on to your internet connection. I hope your visit goes well.

Okay, Duchess Biddy, baby. I did it and I am either, “Bishop Lord John the Ingenious of Deep Throcking” or “Viscount Coffeypot the Confused of Lower Hellswiche.” So!?! What is "Throcking?" Is it what I think it is? Then the title fits. Also, where is "Hellswiche?" The only thing about this title is, yep, I am confused most of the time.

Don’t blame you for not going. Those dumbass kin folks of yours are really missing out on a great LADY. You are a Duchess, after all.

Duchess Biddie..I like the sound of that. You were on my mind today because I knew it was the day you dreaded. Glad you got a breather til Friday. Hang in there Duchess...always knew you were regal..lmao.

Biddie said...

coffeypot - LMAO! I have no dea where Hellswiche is, but you are the Viscount!
Thanks for being so sweet. Makes me all misty eyed and stuff.

canadian flake - That's me, all regal and crap! LOL!

Okay!?! I think! What’s a Viscount anyway? How does that compare to Bishop Lord? I’m afraid to use any title with the word Bishop or Lord in it. Might get hit by lightning, ya know.

Mostly I introduce myself at parties as “Hello, I’m Sutdley Hungwell or the Deep Throat Hungwell clan.” It hasn’t worked yet, but I keep hoping…

I hope you don't lose your internet...

I hope you get to spend some time with your brother and his wife. Keep me posted Biddie!

coffeypot - I'm not sure what a Viscount is, but it sure sounds impressive. I just wouldn't feel right calling you Deep Throat Anything..or how about if I call you something like Viscount John? I dunno, we'll work on it...

Corky - I'm still here, for now. TMOC was here already. He showed up earlier than I expected (by about 2 hrs) and we spent a grand total of an hour together. He is spending all of his time with his uncle. He has money - I don't. He can take out golfing and for dinner, I can't.
I'll keep you posted on the rest of it...How's little Max?

Duchess Biddie, ruler of the Duke of One Way Street!

Or something.

You look like your second kid in that photo...!

Biddie said...

Heidi - LOL. Why didn't I think of that? Yeah, #2 looks like that, but #1 did for awhile, too. #3 looks like Lucky. Or the mailman.
Whatever.

Its frustrating to want to spend time with people and they flake off in other directions. Don't let it affect you, keep smiling and loving them anyway! Keep in mind visiting is hard - so many people to see in such a short time, they may have been trying to maximize their time by including everyone. Maybe?
