Tagged !

I have been tagged by Rain, my newest blog buddy, to tell you 8 random facts about me or my habits. For those of who that have been reading me since the beginning, you probably know everything except my bra size...and I'm not about to tell you that! A girl has to have SOME secrets.

1. I took grade 9 two years in a row, and then I was skipped ahead to grade 11. Never really had grade 10. Does that make me an idiot or a freaking genius?

2. I hate using the telephone. Hate it. I will talk to Heidi, and when we do, we may be on the phone for over an hour, but we don't call each other that often. I call my sister, too, and I have even gotten phone calls from a couple of super cute blog buddies....I will answer the phone. I just hate PHONING people sometimes...It seems like such a chore. I don't know why that is. I think that alot of has to do with my depression.

3. I have more blog friends than 'real' friends. It's true. I seldom leave the house, and I haven't worked in years, so it's hard to maintain friendships. The friends that I do have I have had for YEARS (more than half of my life), but I find it difficult to meet new people. Might be easier if I ever left the house....

4. Speaking of which, I left the house for the first time ALONE in almost one year last month. Had to. I had to see my shrink.. It was the day of aunt's funeral, and I knew that I would be seeing my Mum. What I didn't know is that I would be seeing Mission Mary (dear old step mom) there as well, and by the end of the night, my brain would be snapping. Thank goodness I made it there before that happened.

5. I almost ran away to keep my ex from getting my kids. Yup, I did. I was almost one of those Movie-Of-Week Moms. Jessie's father decided back in 2001 that he wanted custody, and I was TIRED. Just plain tired. I had been fighting with ex number 1 for years over KK and KC, and I was all alone. I just didn't feel like I could do the whole thing again. My Mum was still on speaking terms(ish) with me, and was going to give us a place to live....Anyway, long story short? Shawn and I got serious, and I realized that Geoff didn't stand a chance at custody. I stayed, I fought, I won. Thank goodness. I can't imagine living like that...I would have though. The environment at his house is NOT healthy, and I would do anything for my kids.

6. I hate bugs. HATE them. Doesn't really matter what kind (unless it's a ladybug, they're good luck). I mean, I worked in the morgue, right? No problem. But bugs? That's a whole other story!

7. I think that I'm addicted to The 2 Corey's. I make no apologies. That's just the way it is.

8. I love my dog. I mean I LOVE my dog. LOVE. She is the light of my life. Of sure, I have kids, and they're ok, too, but Ruby? She's the best.

Now, for the tagging. I tag...Heidi, Canadian Flake, and Marni. Don't forget to let your friends know that you have tagged them! :0)

OMG I'm so freaked out and hate bugs too. The only one's I'll tolerate are lady bugs and butterflies, not moths, butterflies.

I don't like the 2 Coreys, but I can't get enough of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. hehehehe

If we lived over there me n Caz n Jax'd be yer pals - n if you had a decent supply of the amber nectar and vodka on regular supply you might never get me out yer house either!

I now hate my mobile phone. Since becoming the union convenor the bloody thing does not stop. Ever. If I don't switch it off I even get nightshift calls at 2 am.

burfica - Butterflies, of course!
My Jessie LOVES Gene Simmons, and my 16 year old thinks that his kid Nick is hot, so we watch that one, too. I've had a crush on Corey Haim since I was a kid, and even tho he's a train wreck now, I still love him. Maybe it has something to do with a fellow Canadian down on his luck?

her indoors - I didn't mention drunk dialing! LOL. I have done that once or twice myself! Oh yeah. Poor Heidi. Ask her about that! Usually I love everyone though, so it's not so bad.

4D - Well, you already are my pals, but I would most happily share a pint with you! Oh, the fun we could have. I think that we would all get along wonderfully.
Shawn calls the cell phone a digital leash. He hates the damn things, too.

tod - What's that? Could you repeat that please? :)

Selina - Or is this Heidi, using an alias? Hmmm? - Ok, see you then!

biddie, I loved your post, I think I need to go back and read your archives. Here's a question. How can Corey Haim be such a train wreck when he is actually the producer of the show? Huh, huh??

kb- I tagged her first!! :0)

Biddie said...

KB - I'll get to it next, promise. :)

Marni - Already? I was just over there? Man, you're good!

Rain - I don't think that he would have agreed to it if he wasn't allowed certain little perks...That Corey, he may be a train wreck, but he's something else! I tell ya, I still love him.
You can read all of my archives, but I promise the bra size is NOT in there. :)

Thanks for the tag...I will post about this tomorrow. I can surely relate to having more blog friends than real-life friends. We moved to this town a year ago and I know nobody...it is a small hick town so there is nothing here to do...and I work out of my home.. The few peeps I have met here I have hated..so thank GOD I have all you blogger friends to love me and listen to me vent...lol.

Canadian Flake - I have lived here most of my life, but I still don't have that many friends. I just haven't kept up with them. I am SO grateful for all of my blog buddies, too. It's hard for me to believe that just a little over a year ago, I was blog buddyless.
And hey, vent away.

"I have more blog friends than 'real' friends"
we have this and a lot more in common with a lot of other people it seems. Comminity is dead I think which is not a good thing for people in general.

I definitely have more blog friends than real friends too. Especially here in KY.

Me and Biddie are real good friends.

Paddy - I agree. Community IS dead. When I was a kid, I felt safe wandering the streets, and playing outside. Everybody knew each other, and you felt that sense of community.
It's not like that now. I don't even know most of my neighbours. It seems that people just don't care the way that they used to. It's sad.

Corky - Damn Skippy, we are. The best :)

We have the phone issue in common! I don't know what it is - I have wondered if its a control issue for me? Thing is - some people are happy with ten minutes - but those that want to take an hour - well, I can't do it! My left hand goes to sleep then numb, and it feels like a brick. Besides, I can't sit still that long and for some reason my phone friends get irritated when I multitask while on the phone. (Now that's their control issue, hahah)

Work outside? - thinking of it creates a panic attack now. Thank goodness for blogs for human contact.

You were very brave to consider running with your kids, but I would do the same if it meant protecting them! I'm so glad it worked out you didn't have to.

I've been watching the Two Corey's as well since they were the hot item during my teen years. Funny thing is that Corey Haim was the hot one and Corey Feldman was the druggy. Now Feldman seems the hot one while Haim seems druggy.
