I'm back...

TMOC is gone now. He left for his uncle's house, and then he's flying home tomorrow evening. In some ways, the visit seems like it went by too quickly. In other ways, it was just long enough.
We really didn't do much. We watched Curb Your Enthusiasm, and podged a wig for Hubby since he misses his long, flowing locks so much. I'm still picking glue out of my hair.
We went out to dinner with TMOC's aunt and uncle, and had a wonderful time. There's nothing like an evening of laughter to finish off a long day.
I probably won't see my big brother again until his wedding next year. It's funny..I miss him so much some times. I really do. Then when we're together, we revert back to our youth. I can't seem to break the cycle. No matter how hard I try.

Whew...family always reverts to family...you will ALWAYS be the child, the younger sister, the favorite niece...nothing can change that, for better or for worse... it makes us exactly who we are. On the plus side, you will always be "Mom," too. And so it all begins again.

oh, btw, I should be in your hotmail inbox, maybe in your junkmail, so look for me in the subject line and don't delete me, please.

WHA...? They're really getting married, for real? Next year already???!!!

She'll be Mrs. Mayor of Crazyville!

I'm so glad your visit went well. Maybe the key to a great visit with TMOC is a short duration.

I'd like to hear more about Large Man's Long Flowing Locks Wig! Like he's not cute enough already!!!!

I am an only child. So, I am often quite jealous of people with siblings...

Glad you had a good time and that it was just enough!

cindydianne- I love having siblings. I am not in touch with some of my family ( 2 brothers and 1 sister), but I love them just the same. I am so close to my big sister,it's incredible. I know that I am SO lucky.
Heidi- Ahh...The long flowing locks..You must've heard the stories about how long his hair was back in the day.
TMOC cut some hair while he was here, and thought that a wig for Hubby would be a good idea. So we podged one for him. It's not long, but it is pretty good. I had to wear the darn thing while it was being glued, and I got a mess of glue in my hair. Anyway, he promises to wear it the next big event.
dilling- got your e mail. Check yours.Great photos, by the way. She'll love them!

I can so relate. My older brother treats me like a kid in ALL matters. Even I.T. ones were I'm the expert and he isn't!

Short visits are definitely the key with family. My mother knows my buttons and manages to push them everytime.

Why is that? Why do older brothers ALWAYS treat younger sisters like 'kid' sisters?
I don't even speak with my Mum anymore. Too many buttons being pushed.
