As promised, this is Porkchop. She is our 'Grandma' dog, rescued from the Humane Society 2 summers ago. She is cranky, a little mean, and passes gas from both ends. She is also a huge music critic. She hates James Brown and barks like mad when she hears his music. What can I say? She is absolutely one- of- a kind and we wouldn't trade her for anything...

So cranky, and yet so loveable!
she really has come a long way...
Maggie would howl up a storm for 10,000 Maniacs and later, for Natalie Merchant solo...I don't know if she especially hated her or loved her...it was the only music she acknowledged at all...she made the most noise during 10,000 Maniacs version of Cat Steven's Peace Train...one of my super-duper all-time favourites so I hoped she liked it! She never did anything if I played Cat Stevens. Go figure...Porkchop is a cutie, too. So much cuteness in one house...how do you handle it all?
We just have to have DOGS. And Porky has come so far since we got Ruby. She even smiles sometimes.
Poodle hated Christmas crackers. I could hold a toilet paper roll and she'd go nuts. I don't know what set her off, or Porky either. She hates when you whisper, and a sneeze can send her into a frenzy.
They're so funny,aren't they?
I bet Maggie was the best friend ever. Maybe she and Poodle are hanging together. I firmly believe that dogs go to heaven, too.
it isn't heaven if it doesn't have dogs! or cats! or horses! or any furry thing! maybe some reptiles, too...fishies that we flushed? I have some chickens I really miss, too, damnit. Oh, little Henny Penny, is Maggie keeping you company?
Never had a chicken...I do have a bluejay, 2 cockatiels, and a budgie.I love all animals so much. I think that there is something fundamentally wrong with people that don't like animals.
What a pretty girl! Aren't they just the best. Nothing better than coming home and getting doggie smooches... they love you no matter what.
We started trying to get Dozer to do a new trick. When he gets excited he sneezes. We are trying to get him to do it on command. He is loving the attention and is starting to get it!
OK - maybe you didn't need to know that, but I'm so proud of him I thought I would share. :)
I agree that there are animals in heaven. I mean, it's heaven, right?
Hey everybody, see that photo of Porkchop there? Imagine her beside my pug. Now THAT is a funny sight!!!!
Very sweet. What kind of dog is it? It looks alot like my mother-in-law's dog, which is called a squirrel terrier or something like that.
nonny- we think that she is a jack russell/chihuahua mix. She is very cute, not so sweet. She doesn't come running - or walking when you call her name, won't,or can't walk upor down the stairs, and bites you when you pick her up. She was kicked around before we got her, you can tell. The poor girl.
marni- Porky sneezes when she's excited too!!! When she plays with the puppy, she does this strange growl/sneeze thing. It cracks me up. She is so much happier since the puppy came along. More sneezing, less biting. She even likes the Pug,now.( He has always liked her,'cause HE is a nice dog)
Heidi...If there aren't animals in heaven, then I don't want to be there....um, assuming that I get an invite..
I always get home from work first and I love the fact that my cats are always waiting behind the front door for me.
Budgies are so full of character. They are great. I will never forget the one I had when I was a kid. My mom knocked the cage over and he flew out the open door. I cried all day.
I love all of our "babies",and I'm so sad everytime we lose any. I love my birds, too, even the mean ol' Bluejay. Our cat never bothers with our birds, we are so lucky. I've actually seen our Bluejay walking on the poor cats head.
Yes people, she has a bluejay!!!!
She's gorgeous
Thank you, thank you, she thinks so too.
