Puffenstuff was my FAVOURITE! I loved Sigmund and the seamonsters, too. Was Johnny Whittaker in that? My brother TMOC loved the court ship of Eddies father. I don't remember the Boogaloos...

I still adore Bill Bixby. One weird channel "off the dial" here was showing the Courtship of Eddie's Father like 6 months ago. Every day at 3:30, I shut down life and my good friend and neighbour would come over... we would have a coffee and watch them. Little Eddie grew up to be in the Dead Kennedy's, I believe, but maybe I have the wrong band. And maybe it's more of some weird crush on Bill Bixby than adoration...but c'mon Tom Corbett(Eddie's Father)? He'd be a catch today!!! Plus, he WAS the hulk!

I think that you're right about the Dead Kennedy's connection. Another one of my favourites from back in the day.
The Hulk scared the crap outta me 'cause my Mum was so much like him. You think I'm joking but nooo, she really was. TMOC says that she's not drinking anymore.. I think that she's not drinking any less!!!!

I think TMOC liked' The Courtship' so much because our Dad was a swinging single back then. Yup, leisure suit Larry , eat your heart out. Think Herb Tarlic...That was my Dad, well those were his suits, anyway.

Ew. Now Andy was way hot. Herb was just weird. Tom Corbett, though, was dreamy. In watching Eddie's Father as an adult, it had some fantastically MORAL stories on how to be genuinely decent people... and Jody Foster played a great little tomboy friend of Eddie's, too, a strong female. The guest stars cracked me the fuck up as an adult. Do pardon the language!

I love watching the classics just to spot someone that went on to be HUGE. Do you remember Brad Pitt on Dallas? Lindsay Lohan on Another World?
My Dad wasn't LIKE herb Tarlic, he just wore his suits. Although he did date my grade 3 teacher... She tried to fail me when he dumped her.
True.
I had a huge crush on Andy, too.

I never watched Dallas or Knots or any of those....and no soaps either...except All My Children with my Grandma every summer. It was always time for "her show" around lunchtime...

You didn't watch Dallas? You don't know what you're missing. My Nanie used to watch All My Children, too. I still makes me think of her.
I liked Dallas because Christopher Atkins was on it. You know, Blue Lagoon guy? Nobody fills out a loin cloth quite like him...

I just didn't "get it" then...and still don't. The whole overly dramatic thing...or following a story every week(or every day)...maybe my attention span was too short... give me Starsky and Hutch, the Streets of SanFransico, Chico and the Man, Sanford and Son anytime! The Archie Bunker Show....sigh.

More of my favourites! Remember Charo on Chico And The Man? I loved Sanford and Son,too.

You remember Charo on nearly every show from the 70's? Why? Why? Why?

Why? Who could forget coo-chie coo-chie?
