Today is Friday

Today is Friday, and YES, I'm in love.
Our road trip has been scaled back to just a night away at our favourite No- Tell- Motel, across the street from 3 of my favourite places: Chapters, the movie theatre, and a really kick ass toy store that sells hobby supplies, too. I could spend all day in there.
Hubby has promised NO WORK on Saturday, so in a couple of hours, he is mine, all mine.
Can't wait to get the weekend started!!!!

will there be another party at your house?

No party this week. KC is babysitting for a friend of my OTHER sisters (Posh) tonight. I don't think that she's ready for another night like that, anyway.
I just came from your blog. Got that rodent yet?

no, we saw it last night and set all the traps up again...nothing...little rotter. since Michael was home to see it, too, it did not appear in it's GIANT form, only in regular mouse form...it's magic. creepy.

Isn't that always the way? The vermin is always bigger, scarier, more vile when you're home alone. Ick.Does the dog notice them at all?

The dog hasn't seen it, that I have noticed. I think he would go for it, if he did...he has a very strong "prey drive," as they call it, and chases anything that runs...and I don't think he would have any qualms about killing it. He doesn't like when I start squealing and jumping around on the furniture. It unnerves him. He wants to be protecting me but he doesn't know from what!

When does he go back to his other home? Are you going to miss him,or what?!

The girls are home Sept 2, and they live right around the corner. I am pretty sure I can borrow him for my hikes whenever I want... and to go swimming, now that he knows how to swim. I will miss him...he is a really great dog and has been a joy to have here. He has changed a lot this summer, though. I hope they don't getting mind getting back a more doglike dog than what they gave me...he was like some strange, awkward, furry person... all in all, his character remains intact but he is definitely a dog now.

We were Heidi's dog sitters when she and Jethro went to Halifax. That little dog was so much fun, we decided to get a puppy. We only had him a couple of days, and it was hard to give him back. We actually have 2 little dogs, our 1st dog is elderly. She was a rescue from the pound, and she is not very friendly,or dog like. We love the little crank to death, tho.Hubby thinks that every home needs DOGS.

I know our home needs one. I feel less human without one. I am really on Michael about finding another beagle or a big hound if he really wants a big dog...he is concerned that I am trying to replace Maggie with another beagle... but I just LOVE a hound dog and beagles are a great size for town living and for travelling. Plus, they are just so damn cute!

Our terri-poo died on june18/05. I waited a year to get another a dog. We brought Ruby Tuesday Soho home on June18/06. I didn't do that on purpose,it just worked out that way. I will never forget Poodle, she was so much more than a pet. She was a cherished friend, part of our family. I still miss her. Ruby is such a joy, though, it's hard to be sad. Miss her tons. Always will.
When the time is right, another dog will find you. That's how it was with Poodle, and Ruby. That's how it was with Maggie, too, right?

Have a ball! (tee-hee-hee)...or two.

Going to the no-tell is a great idea - a mini-me vacation with great sex. Good for you!

Have a wonderful time away...when KB and I went a couple weeks ago, we were just gone overnight. But, it was the break we needed.

Hi guys!! We're back,we had a great time. The No-Tell wasn't too bad. All we need is a little privacy, and..oh, gotta keep it G-rated,now that my big sister stops by, and my kid reads it.. Use your imagination... Vividly... That's how good it was. :)
