And Further More

There has been so much happening in my life the past week or two.
I took J to see her specialist yesterday. Why does he always make me feel like I'm a kid in the principals office? Don't get me wrong, Dr.D is a great doctor, he really is. He just makes me feel completely incompitent. J gained nearly 8 lbs, and even grew a little bit. Her blood sugar is still too high, but she is healthy - er. Her cheeks are looking rosy again and she's playing with the puppy non stop. She just needs to get her b.g. at an acceptable level. We have changed her insulin routine, and I'm hoping for the best.
The saga contiues with KC and the crack heads. She has another court date on the 29th of this month, and a meeting with the mediator on the 25th. This crap has been going on since before we moved in here. I don't understand the 'juctice' system at all. This kid was threatened and harrassed for months, and now the court system is doing it, too. It doesn't seem fair or just. I wonder what the outcome will be after the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program. I wonder if my daughter will ever feel safe again? I wonder if she will ever trust the court system again?
My former mom in law came by today. We are still super close, and she loves Hubby like a son. Our family may not be conventional, but it works for us. Anyway, she stopped by after school, and stayed for a couple of hours. It's always a good time when Gramma is here.
In other news, who else is pissed about Dog the Bounty Hunter being arrested? C'mon, 3 freaking years after he and his team take down Andrew Luster, a man now serving time (120+ years)for raping 3 women, NOW they want Dog and his team? Please. What the eff is going on here? Can we say conspiracy?
I have had it with blogger!!! I can't down load my photo of Dog. Just doesn't seem fair....

Yay for J! Boo for KC! I don't know the story behind KC's troubles, but it sounds like it all just sux. Keep your head up. It'll work out.

I must have my head under a rock... I didn't know a thing about Dog. Need to do some research... bye!

Same over here babe. justice doesn't work for the ordinary guy anymore. We're just soft targets for the police to issue speeding fines. Anyone hurt my family I'd be a vigilante and to hell with the consequences. Hope Dog n his crew are ok n good luck to KC

Every Dog has his day ;)

To catch everyone up on the crack head situation..
We lived next door to them before we moved here, about 4 months ago. The guy ( we call him Got-no, cause he's gotno job, gotno life, gotno prospects)and his common-loser wife, sold drugs and her body, and he did tatoos in the back yard and basement. She has two kids, a 7 year old, and a 6 month old. Things got outta control when he started trying to sell drugs to my kids. The next thing I know,KC's tires are slashed, the cops are being phoned on us nearly nightly (even nights that we weren't home, and GotNo was sexually harrassing KC, 17 at the time. He even tried to hit her with his truck. After we moved here, it didn't stop. They don't know where we live, but when we run into them things get hairy. We had no choice but to file an order of protection. This is the same as a restraining order, but for non domestic situations. This seemed like a pretty simple process.Not.
You have to go through a trial, and the accused gets to act as his own council. He got to question KC on the stand and asked questions such as 'Why do your mom and S live together if he's not your dad?' and 'why do you call him dad?' totally imparitive to the case.
We finally got GotNo to agree to VORP, but the ball still seems to be in his court. The powers that be are pissed because KC works and goes to school, leaving her little or no time for other things. They have called her uncooperative because she doesn't want to miss school.
Next week we go to see a mediator and try to settle this once and for all.
And so, the saga continues......

Ya know, if he has no job, then he should be friggin' available to work around KC's schedule, right? It's beyond reason, honestly, why there is so little justice for the victim... it should be like this..."Hey, you don't want him around for any reason? Fine by us...the reason shouldn't matter." Argh... the politics of policing make me ill...
good to hear that all went relatively well with the doctor, though, and that you didn't spend your anniversary in the hospital cafeteria....best wishes and highest hopes for all ventures!!!

Thanks for visiting today. I was stopping by to give you very simple instructions on how to link because you mentioned you didn't know how. BUT, after reading your post and the comment above, I would suspect that learning to link is the last thing on your list of things to do. I plan to take some time to go back and read your earlier posts so I know more about what it happening here. All I can say right now is that I hope you have a good day.

P.S. I almost forgot to mention downloading pics from blogger. Last night I was able to download about 15 pics for future posts. It didn't take too long. Today, I was successful BUT it is taking much longer. Just be patient and I think you'll find your pics will load today.

sorry to hear about kc's troubles it's not a fair world we live in the evil folk seem to get away with so much whilst the honest guys have to cope with all the shit that is thrown at them, just hope all goes well, in the end the good guys will win.

I am so disgusted with the so called justice system. I don't understand why it's so unfair. Like, duh!

I told KC that VORP is a good program, but I'm starting to doubt my own advice. I hope and pray that it works out. I hope they straighten Gotno's head out. Idiot.

I had my own little rant about blogger and pics earlier, so I relate.

Justice? Hm.

I am sorry to read about the horrible things that have happened to your daughter; and then, this approach to justice seems to replay the nightmare. I sorry that such evil exists. Take care.

So glad there was a weight gain, and it sounds like she is feeling better.

Yeah, that pi$$es me off! I don't understand why it is so hard for the people living life the "right" way have to remain victims of the scumbags out there. I've got my fingers crossed that it works out -- soon!
