Yesterday was a day of conflicting emotions. It was a roller coaster - I found myself elated, angry, feeling helpless, and sobbing into a Kleenex within hours.

The best therapy for a day like that? This little guy right here. This is our newest nephew, Ryder. Within seconds of holding him, I was intoxicated, and in love beyond belief.

There is nothing like the promise of new life to chase the blues away.

I totally agree with you. I've found the same thing with my friend's 5 month old daughter. I love spending time with her - she's adorable and has changed my life.

aims - There is just something so calming about holding a little one, isn't there?? I am looking forward to more time with Ryder :)

Stay close to that cute little guy, Biddie. Babies are the purest, highest concentrated source of joy.

Gabriel - I know it! I am hoping to see him again tomorrow. I'm addicted! Lol.

He is adorable - maybe part of the reason God gave us babies and little kids, big kids is to remind us how important it is that we keep on living - so we can love them and we are blessed by doing so!

Life affirming.

Gardenia - I think that you must be right. I cried like a baby myself when I first held him, it was all so overwhelming. It had been such a bad day, but once I held that little guy...It just all faded away.

Heidi - Absolutely. Isn't he gorgeous??

He is- those perfect round cheeks and that top lip! Does he have fuzzy dark hair? Looks like he does. His father's Vietnamese or Korean??? Can't remember what you said.

Lovely, lovely little baby!

Heidi - His dad is Vietnamese. I think that Ryder will be exotic looking. He is already the new little man in my life :)
