GOWAN - Cosmetics

I have been thinking of my BFF in Nova Scotia a lot lately. Maybe it's the spring - like conditions that have me thinking of Nova Scotia. I always miss the Atlantic Ocean so much more in the spring.
Maybe it's just 80's nostalgia.
Whatever it is, I thought of this song today. Heather and I used to lay on the grass under a basement window, listening to a garage band play.
It is one of my favourite memories from my mis-spent youth.

It may have been mis-spent, but I wouldn't trade it, or my friendship with Heather for anything.

canadian flake - Some of my best/fav memories are of my time in Nova Scotia. I keep thinking that I will be able to head that way SOON, but it just never happens...This spring it will be 18 years since I have been there..
We're all fine. Jess is holding her weight, and right now, that is about all that I can ask for :)

Her indoors - Gowan is Canadian, so I'm not surprised that you haven't heard of him. I used to think that he was cute. LOVE The
80's hair! lol.

I remember when that song came out. One of my friends in high school used to dress like Gowan, including the hair! I also remember sneaking into a Gowan concert at the Forum in Ontario Place one year. He was quite the showman back then! Mentioning Nova Scotia also brings back memories for me. It's been 25 years since I've been there, and I miss it so much. I've been able to get to Maine several times, which is a LOT closer than NS, but it isn't the same. One of these years I'm gonna take my family to the Cabot Trail and Peggy's Cove and show them all the places I used to go as a kid.

Thanks for the memories, Biddie!
